Studio Dress Code
and Guidelines

A Dress Code allows a more disciplined and
professional environment for both the dancer and the teacher.

All Studio Dance by Lina students are expected to
adhere to the following guidelines:

*** For first trial classes we will allow the use of any color and or shirt and leggings, after their trial class they are required to purchase dancewear for their next classes.

+ General Rules of uniform


  • Tights must be worn inside the ballet shoe and be clean with no holes or runs. Pink tights must be worn under the leotard for ballet class.
  • No jewelry is permitted in class except for small post earrings.
  • Students may wear warm-ups for the first five minutes of class. All warmup clothing may not be worn after this unless the teacher permits this.
  • Ballet shoes should never be worn outside of the studio.
  • If a student would like to change into a different leotard for rehearsal, black or white leotards will be allowed unless specified by the teacher.

+ GIRLS UNIFORM


  • Only approved Uniform/Leotard per level colors. We allow the use and purchase of any leotard in these colors depending on their level.
  • You may order your uniform directly from the website OR reach out to us and we can help put in the order for you
  • Pink tights for ballet class, some levels may permit the use of flesh tones and nude tones of tights.
  • Pink or flesh tone leather or canvas ballet shoes with a full or split sole and elastic strap. Ribbons only for Level 1 and above.
  • Pointe shoes must be approved by your class instructor prior to purchasing (you are not allowed to purchase pointe shoes on your own without the consent of your teacher and instructor)
  • Hair in a bun or similar style; short hair should be pulled back away from the face. Hairspray/hairpins should be used to put up hair! We do not allow pony tail, pigtails and etc for class, hair must strictly be in ballet hair.
  • Bun accessories will be allowed, we do not allow the use of colored clips and other dangling accessories and clips during class.
  • Contemporary class may use any colors of cycling, leggings and shirts so long as they do not distract from class.


+ MALE UNIFORM


  • Canvas split-sole black or white ballet shoes
  • Black jazz pants or tights
  • A dance belt may be needed
  • White or Black fitted t-shirt or boys leotard will be allowed.
